Biography
Abby Lillpop is national project coordinator for the Extension Disaster Education Network. EDEN is a collaborative multi-state effort by Extension Services across the country to improve the delivery of services to citizens affected by disasters. Abby serves as a consultant to more than 400 campus and county-based specialists and educators regarding marketing/communication and disaster education issues.
Based at Purdue University, Abby works to strength communities’ capacity to respond to and recover from disasters by assisting with the development and maintenance of resilience strategies and programs. Abby currently serves as the vice president of Indiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (Indiana VOAD) and secretary of the West Central Indiana Community Organizations Active in Disaster (WCI COAD).
A 2008 graduate of Purdue University, Abby holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural Communication with an educational focus in multimedia journalism.
